NJ Beach Yoga held its 12th annual “Pose for Peace” yoga class on Sea Isle City’s JFK Boulevard Beach, where 67 participants gathered in the shape of a giant peace sign.
During this popular community event on Labor Day, the participants also contributed $1,225 in donations to the Epilepsy Foundation of America.
“NJ Beach Yoga is grateful for the generosity of all the amazing people who supported this charitable event,” said owner Teri O’Connor, who has been hosting yoga classes through Sea Isle’s Recreation Office for 18 years.
In addition to her annual Pose for Peace and Full Moon Yoga classes, O’Connor and her team of yoga instructors also host classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from May through September on the JFK Boulevard Beach, and on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings on the 5th Street Beach.
During the off-season, additional classes are offered on Tuesday evenings and Friday mornings inside Sea Isle’s Community Lodge. Mediation Classes and Reiki Soul Circles are offered throughout the year.
