Cape May County Board of Commissioners Director Leonard Desiderio is encouraging Cape May County residents to learn about the potential impacts of the state’s proposed climate change rules, known as NJPACT/REAL.
Desiderio, who also serves as Sea Isle City’s mayor, called the proposed climate change rules “ill-conceived policies that, if implemented, will do far more harm than good, and will pose significant threats to the quality of life for the hardworking families of Cape May County.”
There are three town hall meetings scheduled in Cape May County to learn more about the NJPACT/REAL rules. They include:
Monday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. – Lower Cape Regional High School Performing Arts Center, 687 Route 9, Cape May.
Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 5 p.m. – Cape May Convention Hall, 714 Beach Ave., Cape May.
Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 5:30 p.m. – Ocean City Yacht Club, 100 Bay Road, Ocean City.
