Zoo Done It?, Saturday, October 5th

Join the Philadelphia Zoo for the new "Zoo Done It?," an exciting adults-only scavenger hunt and mystery adventure on Saturday, October 5th, from 5:30am to 9:00pm. Explore the Zoo’s hidden corners and uncover secrets while solving a centuries-old mystery with clues scattered throughout the exhibits. Winners will have a chance to win a behind-the-scenes tour of the haunted historic landmark, The Solitude. Tickets are $50 per person (includes admission and parking) or $75 for a Spooktacular Bundle, which adds a beverage, popcorn and a Zoo key. Zoo members receive a $10 discount. 

      

Out & About Festival, Saturday, October 5th

Celebrate National Coming Out Day at Manayunk’s Annual Out & About Festival on Saturday, October 5 from 11am to 4pm. Local vendors, artists and organizations will take the street as the day hosts performances, drag story time, shows and entertainment with groups like Philly Drag Mafia and TNP Productions. Philly Drag Mafia will host a drag story time during Out & About. Other local artists and organizations who will participate in Saturday’s happenings include J.Proud, Therapy Center of Philadelphia, New + Wesley Images and more. 

      

Roxtoberfest, Saturday, October 5th

The Roxborough Development Corporation’s 12th Annual Roxtoberfest returns on Saturday, October 5th, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm, with a rain date of October 6th. This street festival combines family-friendly fall activities with a German beer fest atmosphere, featuring live music, local beer, over 100 vendors and food trucks. Participate in contests, including a pet costume contest and a new Star Trek-themed Spocktoberfest, and enjoy a Scarecrow Walk with voting for the best scarecrow. 

      

Kennett Brewfest, Saturday, October 5th 

Kennett Square's Brewfest has been an area tradition for over 25 years. This year’s events will feature more than 175 beers from 80-plus craft breweries. There’s plenty of fun and activities, too, with live music, food from local restaurants, and retail/crafts vendors. Tickets are required.


St. Nicholas of Tolentine Authentic Italian Festival, Sunday, October 6th 

The Annual St. Nicholas of Tolentine Authentic Italian Festival returns to South Philadelphia on Sunday, October 6th, from Noon to 8:00pm, celebrating a tradition that began in the early 1900s. This free festival features a religious procession with saints' statues, a wide array of Italian food from local vendors like Marra's Pizza and Termini Bros Bakery, and live entertainment, including performances by local musicians and dance groups. Family-friendly activities will include rides, games, and face painting. Established in 1912 by Italian immigrants, the festival has evolved since its inception in 1987 and continues to foster community spirit. Pastor Rev. Nick Martorano emphasizes its role in celebrating the neighborhood's diverse culture. 

      

Downingtown Fall Fest, Sunday, October 6th 

Chester County’s annual Downingtown Fall Fest street and brew festival returns to Green Street and Pennsylvania Avenue with tons of food, artists and craft vendors. Victory Brewing Company, the famous Philly-area craft brewery founded in Downingtown in 1996 will be pouring plenty of brews as well, of course. This festival is cash only, so come prepared. 


Perkasie Fall Festival, Sunday, October 6th

The Perkasie Fall Festival spans two locations in the borough of Bucks County. The Town Center District offers live music, craft vendors, cornhole, pumpkin decorating, a fire truck, an inflatable maze, food trucks and a pie-eating contest. Meanwhile, Menlo Park features a petting zoo, balloon twisting, face painting, pony rides, sand art, and two pavilions of fun: one with fall-themed crafts and a build-your-own scarecrow contest. A free shuttle will run between the two sites.
