An MRI of Paul George's left knee revealed no structural damage, a Sixers official said on Thursday evening.

George will miss at least the next two games with a bone bruise in his left knee.

The injury occurred just seconds into the third quarter of Philadelphia's loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. George was pursuing a defensive rebound and hyperextended the knee as he landed. He immediately requested a substitution and never returned to the game, although Nick Nurse told reporters postgame that George was nearly cleared to come back.

George missed the start of the season with a similar injury to that same knee.

Wednesday marked the debut of Philadelphia's new big three, Tyrese Maxey returning from a hamstring injury to complete the trio.

George, Maxey and Joel Embiid played all of six minutes together before the injury occurred.

The Sixers, 2-12, will host the Brooklyn Nets on Friday.
