Dak Prescott won't play Sunday, but another notable Dallas Cowboys quarterback will be at the forefront of the matchup against the Eagles at AT&T Stadium.

Eagles-Cowboys at 1 p.m. ET Sunday has drawn the No. 1 broadcast crew for CBS, which includes Tony Romo as the color commentator:

This is Romo's eighth season as the game analyst alongside Jim Nantz. While he initially drew rave reviews, his popularity in the booth has waned in recent years. He's got a quirky personality, which isn't everyone's cup of tea. It also feels like he sometimes doesn't let the game breathe enough.

As far as whether it's fair to have a former Cowboy calling a Cowboys game, it is what it is. Troy Aikman (ESPN) and Daryl Johnston (FOX) are also former Cowboys who are prominent color commentators. No matter what you think of them, the Cowboys are a draw. That means networks want to hire former Cowboys, and networks want to broadcast Cowboys games. Sometimes you are going to end up with former Cowboys on the mic.

While the lines have been blurred a bit, CBS has typically been more associated with calling AFC games. However, this will now be the third games in a row that the Eagles are on CBS. If that's ever happened before, it can't be more than a few times.
