Like movie stars, Ocean City High School promgoers celebrated with style and pizzazz, beginning with a glamorous appearance on the red carpet Saturday night.
And what made it even more spectacular was the oceanfront backdrop for their grand entrance. From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. couples, solos and groups of friends celebrated their individual fashion styles on the red carpet outside of the historic Ocean City Music Pier.
All eyes were on the students who made lasting impressions wearing tuxes, long gowns and other fashions. Whatever the style, from high fashion to casual to classic, promgoers walked, strolled, and even danced down the “runway.”
Professional photographers, family and friends and school faculty all watched in amazement as the promgoers enjoyed their moment in the spotlight.
And that was just the beginning of a monumental night that included dinner, dancing and socializing with friends and loved ones.
The prom shifted from its traditional venue at the historic Flanders Hotel to the Music Pier this year.
