The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Warning for the beach communities in Cape May County, including Sea Isle City.
Moderate flooding is expected during tonight’s high tide, which will occur around midnight.
At 8:25 p.m., the Sea Isle Police Department announced in a traffic alert that the Townsends Inlet Bridge was closed due to flooding.
Vehicles parked in low-lying areas should be moved to higher ground, such as the Sea Isle City Library parking lot, located at 48th Street and Central Avenue.
Motorists are urged not to drive through tidal salt water, because it will damage your car and the wake from your vehicle may damage nearby properties.
