By MADDY VITALE Get ready for an array of family-friendly fun at Excursion Park on Saturday, March 30, during Sea Isle City’s third annual Spring Fling Family Fun Day. The free event is organized by Sea Isle’s Tourism Office and offers families a true kickoff to Easter weekend. The event runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Excursion Park, located at JFK Boulevard and Pleasure Avenue. Some of the fun includes a “Dress to Impress Easter Stroll,” music, photos with the Easter Bunny, holiday crafts and plenty of games, not to mention face painting. Oh, and for those who like a challenge, there will be a jellybean guessing contest. Sea Isle City Public Information Officer Katherine Custer said the event is a great way for families to get outside and enjoy some pre-holiday festivities. “This is the third year for the Spring Fling and we anticipate that we will once again have a very good turnout of families," she said. "Second homeowners are often down that weekend, too. We will be repeating the popular activities of the past two years.” Custer credited the staff of the Tourism Office for making it all come together. The staff of our Tourism Office worked very hard to put together a lineup of family-friendly entertainment that is enjoyable and something many families look forward to,” she said. Custer said the Easter Stroll is a fun event and while participants can pre-register for it, they don't have to and can still be a part of it. Although some people do dress in their Easter best, others who join in the stroll opt for casual attire. Whether dressed to the nines or in more comfy clothes, everyone receives a small gift just for being in it, Custer said. She also talked about some of the activities kids can do, such as crafts. “There are small prizes for everyone and kids will go home with treats and Easter crafts that they made," Custer noted. "They will also have some one-on-one time with the Easter Bunny.”

"I’m very proud of the work our Tourism staff does each year.” She also credited Tourism representative Chris Oney and Tourism Office employee Trish Jackson for their hard work and planning to offer tourists and residents some great spring and summer season events. “Every year, Chris and Trish do a lineup of family-friendly and enjoyable activities for residents and tourists,” Custer said. “It’s time to come out for tons of spring and Easter-themed fun.” Among the highlights are the popular “Movies Under the Stars” series, which returns in July. “We are definitely looking forward to families enjoying our movie lineup," Custer said. "We just want to remind families to bring a beach blanket or folding chair to recline on the lawn at Excursion Park and enjoy a movie.” Here is this summer’s movie lineup:
