The National Weather Service forecast calls for rain and gusty winds this weekend.
The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory in effect for Sea Isle City and nearby coastal areas from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday.
An approaching new moon and steady onshore winds will combine to cause minor flooding. The advisory will likely be extended to include Saturday morning.
“Additional rounds of minor coastal flooding are likely with the high tide cycles on Saturday,” the Sea Isle Police Department said in a weather alert.
Residents should be prepared to move vehicles to safe places before going to bed on Thursday night.
For your safety and the protection of your vehicle and neighboring properties, never attempt to drive through floodwaters, and do not drive around barricades.
“If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property,” according to the weather alert.
