Sea Isle City tax bills have been mailed to property owners and the payment grace period has been extended.
To accommodate taxpayers, third quarter property taxes are due Aug. 1. However, the grace period for payments has been extended to Aug. 30.
Therefore, to avoid interest penalties, payments must be received by the Sea Isle City Tax Collector by 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30.
Payments by mail may be sent to: City Hall, Attn: Tax Collector,
233 JFK Boulevard, Sea Isle City, NJ 08243.
In-person payments can be made at the Tax Collector’s Office on the second floor of City Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Payments may also be made by using one of two drop boxes at City Hall, which are available for payment drop-off 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
One drop box is located outdoors on the parking lot level, under the building to the left of the public elevator (this box is handicapped accessible). The other drop box is in the lobby, to the right of the revolving doors as you enter the building's main entrance.
The drop boxes are emptied throughout the business day. Payments dropped after 4 p.m. will be credited on the next business day.
Important Info Regarding Payments Made With Online Banking Services:
Sea Isle City’s Tax & Utility Collection Office has automated the process of online payments and no longer reviews online payments manually. Online payments automatically post to the account number that customers enter in their online banking payment system.
Unfortunately, customers who use online banking occasionally input inaccurate or incomplete information into their bill payment system. If you use online banking, please take a moment to double check that you have added the correct account number information in the correct format so that your payments will be credited to the account you intend to pay.
Please Follow These Guidelines When Banking Online:
Customers who utilize an online banking payment system will need to create two (2) separate “Payees” (one for property taxes, and one for water/sewer utility payments).
Customers with more than one account for property taxes and/or more than one account for utility payments must send separate payments for each (only one account number per payment).
Online banking customers must include the following information in their bill payment system to ensure the proper application of payments:
Property Taxes: Use your full 8-digit account number, including the leading zeros (example: 00001442). To find your property tax account number, look for the box located at the top left side of your property tax bill (just above the assessed valuation information).
- For Water-Sewer Bills: Use your utility account number including the “dash” (example: 1086-0). To find your utility account number, look at the top of the box on the left-hand side of your utility bill (just under the City’s contact information).
“Direct Debit” Payment Option:
Never miss a quarterly due date again. Sign up for Direct Debit and let the city do the work for you.
