Minor coastal flooding may last through several high tide cycles, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service has extended a Coastal Flood Advisory for Sea Isle City and nearby coastal areas through 2 p.m. Monday.
A coastal storm, strong onshore winds and rain will combine to cause minor flooding on Monday morning. With another exceptionally high tide predicted for Tuesday morning, the flood advisory is likely to be further extended.
Residents should be prepared to monitor conditions and move vehicles to safe places in advance of high tide. Some partial or full road closures are possible, according to a weather alert issued by the Sea Isle Police Department.
For your safety and the protection of your vehicle and neighboring properties, never attempt to drive through flood waters, and do not drive around barricades.
