The entire region is bracing for a strong storm system that will arrive on Tuesday and continue through Wednesday morning, Sea Isle City’s Office of Emergency Management warned.
The main concern for this storm will be sustained southerly winds of 30 to 40 mph, with gusts possibly exceeding 60 mph at the height of the storm on Tuesday evening.
Wind-driven rain will be heavy at times and could reach 2 inches or more.
While tidal flooding is not expected to be serious, it could be made worse by heavy rain occurring during the evening high tide, which will be at approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday. There may also be minor tidal flooding on Wednesday morning around 7 a.m.
For those who park in low-lying areas, it may be wise to move your vehicles to higher ground (such as the Sea Isle Library parking lot at 4800 Central Avenue).
If your curbside trash collection day is Wednesday, do not put your trash or recycling on the curb until Wednesday morning.
If you need police assistance, call 609-263-4311 ext. 0. If you have an emergency, call 911.
