Yes, Santa is back home at the North Pole and the Christmas gifts are unwrapped, but there’s still time to enjoy the holiday in Sea Isle City by driving around and admiring the decorations.
The city’s Recreation Department has announced the winners of its annual Holiday Lighting Contest featuring the nicest decorated homes and businesses in town.
The McLeer home at 305 39th Street won first place, the Galdi home at 8907 Landis Ave. was selected as second place and the Smith home at 211 67th Street took third place.
“My thanks go to our Rec Team for once again organizing that popular event; and special thanks go to each of the homeowners and merchants who literally made our town ‘shine’ by adding so many beautiful lights and colorful decorations to their properties,” Mayor Leonard Desiderio said in a statement.
First Bank of Sea Isle City donated cash prizes of $100 and $50 for the first and second-place winners. Rocky & Fred’s Creative Design Florist donated a floral arrangement for the third-place winner.
