The members of Sea Isle City’s Beautification Committee, Environmental Commission, Garden Club, Green Team, and Historical Society invite the community to attend an Arbor Day Ceremony at noon on Friday, April 26, at Dealy Field, 6108 Central Avenue.
During the ceremony, five new London plane trees will be dedicated to the people of Sea Isle City.
The deciduous trees, which are members of the Sycamore family, were recently purchased by the Environmental Commission and planted by Sea Isle’s Publics Works employees – and their presence adds shade and beauty to the community’s largest recreation facility.
Additionally, the Arbor Day Ceremony will feature guest speakers, who will comment on the important role trees play in every community. There will also be a poetry reading and a presentation on tree care by representatives from Surran’s Nursery, of Corbin City.
The rain location for this event will be inside Sea Isle’s Community Lodge, 300 JFK Boulevard (adjacent to the Welcome Center).
