The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for Sea Isle City from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
Spotty, moderate flooding is possible, particularly along the back bays of Cape May County, according to the advisory.
Up to one foot of water is expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
“At this level, flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads in coastal and bayside communities, and along inland tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible,” the Sea Isle Police Department said in a weather alert accompanying the flood advisory.
Police are urging motorists to allow for extra time while traveling around town, because some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
