On Friday night, Nov. 24, Sea Isle City’s Division of Tourism will host the resort’s 2023 Holiday Parade.
The parade will be immediately followed by Mayor Leonard Desiderio’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.
The parade will begin 6 p.m. at 49th Street and Central Avenue. It will travel south along Central Avenue from 49th to 84th Street, turn left onto 84th, then turn left again and proceed north along Landis Avenue from 84th Street to JFK Boulevard, where it will end.
There will be floats carrying a variety of holiday characters, a fleet of decorated fire engines from neighboring communities, representatives from local civic organizations, municipal officials and the event’s guest of honor, Santa Claus.
Immediately after the parade, Mayor Desiderio will host the Tree Lighting Ceremony at approximately 7-7:15 p.m. at Excursion Park, JFK Boulevard and Pleasure Avenue. Santa will flip a switch to illuminate the town’s Christmas tree and officially launch the holiday season in Sea Isle.
After the tree is lit, Santa will invite children onto the stage at the Excursion Park Band Shell, where he will pose for photos and hand out treats. There will also be photo-ops with the holiday characters that appeared in the parade.
