Mayor Leonard Desiderio will host Sea Isle City’s annual Vietnam War Veterans Day ceremony at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29.
The ceremony will be held at Excursion Park, JFK Boulevard and Landis Avenue, where the community will gather to honor the men and women of the nation’s military who served in the Vietnam War. The public is invited to attend.
The ceremony will include the laying of a wreath next to the park’s Memorial Fountain, prayers from local religious leaders, and comments from VFW Post 1963 Commander Mark Lloyd and VFW Post 1963 Auxiliary President Patti Lloyd.
VFW Post 1963’s Honor Guard will also be in attendance, as will Miss Veterans Day Outstanding Teen Lilly Guest, who will recite a poem about those who served.
