The community is invited to a special event hosted by St. Joseph Catholic Church on Sunday, June 11, to celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi.
On the Solemnity of the Holy Body and Blood of Christ, the parish will host a Corpus Christi Procession along Sea Isle City’s Promenade to the Excursion Park Band Shell. The procession will begin after the 11:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday at approximately 12:30 p.m.
The procession will start in front of the church at 4308 Landis Avenue and proceed east along 44th Street to the Promenade, where participants will stop and pray. Then, the procession will travel approximately five blocks north on the Promenade to JFK Boulevard, where participants will once again stop and pray.
Next, the procession will exit the Promenade and culminate at the Excursion Park Band Shell (adjacent to the Promenade on JFK), where Benediction will take place.
Those with mobility issues who are not able to participate in the procession are invited to go directly to Excursion Park for Benediction.
