The community is invited to Sea Isle City’s 2023 Green Fair on Saturday, June 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Excursion Park, JFK Boulevard and Pleasure Avenue.
Hosted by Sea Isle’s Green Team, Environmental Commission and Division of Recreation, the Green Fair will feature a variety of family-friendly activities and plenty of useful environmental information.
Those attending the Green Fair will enjoy free giveaways, children’s crafts, a scavenger hunt organized by Girl Scout Troop 41012, vendors selling merchandise created with recycled and repurposed materials, and a display by the Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority.
There will also be information about “Green Transportation” at the Tuckahoe Bike Shop table. Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables will be on sale from Al’s Produce.
Also, local property owners will have one final opportunity to enter the Environmental Commission’s Tree Raffle, during which 30 trees will be given away.
The tree varieties being offered in the raffle include limelight hydrangea (lime green/cream/pink flowers), crepe myrtle (pink flowers, July to September) and little gem magnolia (green all year, flowers spring to late fall). Raffle winners will be chosen during random drawings at the Green Fair.
In the event of rain, the Green Fair will take place inside the Community Lodge at 300 JFK Boulevard, adjacent to the Sea Isle City Welcome Center.
