The corner of JFK Boulevard and Landis Avenue in Sea Isle City will transform into a “Winter Village at The Ludlam” this Thanksgiving weekend as The Ludlam Hotel Bar & Grill hosts a new event with fun for the entire family.
Kick off the holiday season in Sea Isle with ice skating, holiday vendors, live entertainment and more.
“We are thrilled to be able to bring this new event to Sea Isle City this year for families to enjoy together,” Amy Glancey, chief Marketing Officer for Shorebreak Resorts, said in a news release. “The whole corner will transform into a winter wonderland, and we hope you check it out this Thanksgiving Weekend as we kick off the holiday season at The Ludlam.”
Winter Village at The Ludlam will be open Friday, Nov. 25 through Sunday, Nov. 27. Cost to ice skate is $5, which includes skate rentals. The rink, sponsored by CP Rankin Roofing Experts, will operate Friday, 5-9 p.m.; Saturday, 1-9 p.m.; and Sunday, 11a.m.-3 p.m. Grab a cup of hot chocolate from Shorebreak Cafe to warm up and sit at the picnic tables near the rink.
Throughout the weekend, holiday pop-up vendors will be located in the courtyard with gifts for purchase, such as salsa and jams, headbands, soaps and scrubs, fine art and more.
Holiday vendors will be open Friday, 3-9 p.m., Saturday, 12-8 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Try Misunderstood Whiskey products on Friday evening and Sea Isle Spiked Iced Tea on Saturday afternoon during tastings and giveaways from each brand during the event.
Santa will also be visiting on Saturday and Sunday and will be listening to wish lists throughout the weekend. Jim Bannach will perform holiday hits on Friday from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday will include a Celtic Christmas Show from 2-4 p.m. featuring The Celtic Christmas Band and The Celtic Flame School of Irish Dance. Dueling Pianos by The Philly Keys will round out the day on Saturday from 6-10pm inside the Lounge.
“Shorebreak Cafe is excited to host the first annual Gingerbread House Contest as part of Winter Village,” said Dana Iannelli, head baker at the Cafe. “The contest will have different categories and there will be prizes for each category. We can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with.”
Categories for the gingerbread contest include Children, Special Needs, Families, and Adults. Houses will be on display Saturday and the winners will be announced at 5pm on social media. Those wishing to participate in the gingerbread contest can sign up online at
