St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sea Isle City invites the public to experience the parish’s first ever “Live Nativity” event on Saturday, Dec. 17, from 5 to 6 p.m.
“Scene One” of this free community event that reenacts the birth of Jesus will begin inside the church. A narrator will tell the Nativity Story, which will be portrayed by parishioners of all ages through mime and gesture.
Next, all those in attendance will be invited outside to the church parking lot, where the story will continue in the presence of live animals, including a camel, goats, donkeys and sheep.
Chairs will be available in the parking lot for those who find standing difficult for long durations. Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies will be served after the event.
