Sea Isle City remains under a tornado watch until 10 p.m. Wednesday and a flash flood watch until 8 a.m. Thursday as the remnants of Hurricane Ida pass through the region, according to the National Weather Service.
Periods of heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms associated with the storm will result in a widespread 1 to 4 inches of rainfall, with locally higher amounts by Thursday morning.
Additionally, much of the rainfall may occur in a short period of time, exacerbating the flooding threat. Combined with existing wet conditions, this may lead to flash flooding, according to a weather alert issued by the Sea Isle City Police Department.
