The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory in effect for Sea Isle City from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday.
A Coastal Flood Watch (indicating potentially more significant risks) will be in effect from noon to 8 p.m. on Friday.
A Wind Advisory for sustained easterly winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, and these winds will contribute to flooding conditions.
“At this level, widespread roadway flooding occurs in coastal and bayside communities and along inland tidal waterways. Many roads become impassable. Some damage to vulnerable structures may begin to occur,” according to a weather alert issued by the Sea Isle Police Department.
Additional coastal flooding is possible into the weekend, especially in the back bays, the alert says.
