Santa's Mailbox, located in the lobby of City Hall, is accepting letters from children to send directly to Santa Claus at the North Pole.

Sea Isle City has a direct line to the North Pole. The proof is in Santa’s Mailbox at City Hall year after year for children to slip their carefully thought out wish lists in.
With Christmas around the corner, it may be the right time to be extra nice.
"Santa always puts his mailbox in the lobby of City Hall because he knows there are many good children in our community who are eager to tell him what they want for Christmas,” Sea Isle City Public Information Officer Katherine Custer said Tuesday.
Children can come into City Hall with their families and put the very important letters into the mail slot whenever they wish with whatever presents they would like from games, to toys, clothes and anything else they hope to find under the tree Christmas morning.
And the whimsical addition to City Hall each holiday season isn’t just for kids, Custer noted.
“Even though the mailbox is used mainly by youngsters, it also serves as a cheerful reminder for adults that Sea Isle City is a wonderful place to enjoy the holidays," she added.
The brilliantly-red hued mailbox even has “snow” on top and is in the lobby of City Hall, which is open 24 hours a day and is located at 233 John F. Kennedy Blvd.
And rest assured, the letters will go straight to Santa’s home.
Children may slip those important wish lists right in the slot.
Santa’s Mailbox is just one of the ways children can reach out to Saint Nick.
Kids can even get a chance to chat with him. Families may register for Santa’s Calling by going on the city’s website at
Each year, such as this Brunch with Santa in 2019, children get to meet Santa.
