The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory in effect for Sea Isle City from 9 p.m. Friday through 3 a.m. Saturday.
A near-full-moon tide, easterly winds gusting up to 35 mph and heavy rain are expected to contribute to flooding conditions.
More rounds of tidal flooding are possible Saturday and Saturday night. Moderate flooding cannot be ruled out for Saturday night’s high tide, according to a weather alert issued by the Sea Isle Police Department.
A Coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is expected. Minor tidal flooding often results in some road closures. Usually, the most vulnerable roadways will flood.
“Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to costly repairs,” the weather alert said.
