The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the shore from Thursday afternoon to Friday morning as the remnants of Tropical Storm Elsa move into New Jersey.
The storm is expected to bring heavy rainfall to the region. Rainfall totals will range from 2 to 3 inches with up to 5 inches possible in local areas, according to a weather alert issued by the Sea Isle City Police Department.
Be prepared to move vehicles well in advance of high tide or downpours to avoid being caught in flooding.
At this time, peak winds are not expected to reach tropical force. The forecast calls for sustained wind speeds of 20 to 30 mph with stronger gusts possible.
