Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Sea Isle City Police Chief Thomas McQuillen announced the arrest of a Mount Holly, N.J., man for offering to buy alcohol for juvenile females in exchange for sexual favors.
Sayal Sawaged, 28, also allegedly attempted to lure the victim into his vehicle and back to his residence.
The victim was able to pull herself away from Sawaged and notified nearby police officers, according to a news release.
Shortly after, Sea Isle police apprehended Sawaged and he was charged with luring and enticing a child by various means, endangering the welfare of children and simple assault, the release stated.
Sawaged was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Facility pending court proceedings.
The Sea Isle Police Department is investigating the case and attempting to identify any possible additional victims.
