The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for coastal Cape May County from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
Rainfall from the remnants of Hurricane Zeta could cause flooding in low-lying areas by the shoreline and near inland waterways.
A coastal flood advisory means that minor tidal flooding is expected. Some partial or full road closures are possible.
“Usually, the most vulnerable roadways will flood. Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal flooding,” the Sea Isle City Police Department warned in a weather alert.
Police urge motorists not to drive through flooding because the water could be deceptively deep and dangerous.
