The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory in effect for Sea Isle City from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday.
Northeast winds gusting up to 45 mph and heavy rain are expected to contribute to flooding conditions.
A Coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is expected. Minor tidal flooding often results in some road closures. Usually, the most vulnerable roadways will flood, according to a weather alert from the Sea Isle Police Department.
“Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal flooding,” the alert says. “Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to costly repairs.”
