The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for Sea Isle City from 6 a.m. to noon Monday for a storm that is expected to combine heavy winds and drenching rain.
Gale force winds producing gusts above 45 mph and more than an inch of rain are expected as the storm lashes the coast in the morning and afternoon, according to the forecast.
A Coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is expected. Minor tidal flooding often results in some street closures and usually affects the most vulnerable roadways.
“Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal flooding,” the Sea Isle Police Department said in a weather alert. “Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to costly repairs.”
