The Cape May County Health Department reported Friday that an 88-year-old Lower Township man died from COVID-19.
The total number of positive cases of COVID-19 infection in Cape May County is now 443, including 32 deaths.
“Unfortunately, this sad news tells us that another resident of Cape May County will be sadly missed by loved ones, friends and family, said Cape May County Freeholder Director Gerald M. Thornton.
He continued, "We know that residents of nursing homes and people of an advanced age and in certain conditions are among the most at risk of this disease. I urge everyone in Cape May County – regardless of age or condition – to take an active role in doing their part to reduce the spread of this virus throughout our communities so we can protect one another.”
