It’s not too late to sign up for summer camps and clinics in Sea Isle City.
Starting Wednesday and running through Sept. 5, the camps and clinics offer an array of ways for both children and adults to keep active, entertained and healthy. While some programs have filled up, there are still many others that have open slots.
Sea Isle Public Information Officer Katherine Custer said amid the coronavirus pandemic, when so many cancellations replaced events in the city, it is refreshing to be able to offer something so enjoyable for children and adults.
“Even though many events were cancelled due to the coronavirus, numerous fitness programs, a wide variety of sports camps and other activities such as Art Camp and Marine Science Camp are still available in Sea Isle City this summer,” she said.
Ages for camps vary, but some camps begin at age 4.
Sports lovers can learn or brush up on their lacrosse, basketball and soccer skills at the camps and clinics.
For kids who enjoy art or have a love for marine science, the camps are a popular way to hone their artistic and scientific skills.
Campers in the art program can create works out of clay, mosaic, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, mixed media and more.
Marine Science Camp activities include marine ecology education, water quality sampling and testing and plant and animal identification.
