Periods of rain mixed with a dusting of snow and then gusty winds are expected at the Jersey Shore starting Tuesday and continuing through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The forecast calls for rain starting Tuesday afternoon and then a chance of snow after midnight accumulating to less than one inch.
On Wednesday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 42 degrees. However, a west wind of 15 to 20 mph will start in the morning and increase later to 23 to 28 mph. Gusts are expected near 40 mph. It will be blustery Wednesday night.
