Hurricane Advisory: Gusty Winds, Minor Flooding Expected at Shore

  • News
Hurricane Dorian will remain well offshore of New Jersey as it moves northward, but strong winds and some minor flooding are expected along the coast on Friday, according to the latest storm advisory from the National Weather Service.
Tropical storm warnings and small craft advisories are in effect for the coastal waters. Forecasters are also warning of strong rip currents and high surf. Minor coastal flooding is also possible for the shore, most likely for Cape May County. Gusty winds of 35 to 45 mph are possible for portions of southern New Jersey, especially along the coast, from Friday into Friday night, according to the forecast.
