On October 12, the Sea Isle City Environmental Commission hosted their annual Autumn Beach Clean-up, which was a great success.
In fact, this was our largest Autumn Beach Clean-Up to date – thanks to a record number of volunteers, who cleared hundreds of pounds of trash and debris from our community’s beaches, dunes and other natural settings.
My thanks go to everyone who helped make the Clean-Up a triumph, including our Environmental Commission members and the 192 volunteers who donated their Saturday morning for this important effort.
My thanks also go to the event’s many supporters, including Approach Clothing Company for donating tee-shirts for the volunteers, Spinners Pizza, Ice-Cream & Grill for donating coupons for free ice-cream cones, The Philly Pretzel Factory for donating soft pretzels, the Weiler family for donating bottled water, and Mike’s Seafood for treating the event’s volunteers to a wonderful buffet luncheon after our beaches and dunes were cleaned.
Thank you all!
Last weekend, Sea Isle City’s annual Halloween Parade took place along Landis Avenue, where countless spectators seemed to thoroughly enjoy the festivities.
The parade included a variety of professional entertainers, representatives from local organizations and many families who really got into the “spirit” of the season.
After the parade ended, hundreds of people enjoyed our annual Halloween Family Dance Party at Excursion Park, during which D.J. Jeff did a fantastic job entertaining the audience while representatives from Sea Isle City’s Division of Recreation distributed trophies to the parade’s top entries.
Special thanks go to all of our City employees who made this year’s Halloween Parade and Dance Party a success, and my congratulations go to all of the parade’s winners.
If you have driven along Sea Isle Boulevard lately, no doubt you have noticed the newly completed fishing and crabbing area on the south side of the causeway along Sunks Creek.
