The National Weather Service has issued a weather advisory for high winds and heavy rain beginning this afternoon.
Strong wind gusts of up to 45 mph, with gusts to 50 mph along the immediate coast, are expected tonight and into Thursday afternoon along the Jersey Shore.
Spotty minor flooding is possible for tidal areas around times of high tide Wednesday night. Gale force winds of 40 to 40 mph are expected tonight through Thursday night for coastal waters.
