A weekend storm packing strong winds will cause flooding and possible beach erosion at the Jersey Shore, according to the National Weather Service.
While some minor coastal flooding is possible during Saturday’s high tide, more widespread coastal flooding is probable around Sunday’s high tide in Sea Isle City at 10:59 a.m. and 11:32 p.m. and possibly lingering into Monday’s high tide at 11:54 a.m.
Northeast wind gusts should reach 45 to perhaps 50 mph Saturday and Sunday especially along the coast, with areas from the Atlantic City region southward to the Delaware beaches potentially receiving the strongest winds.
