Sea Isle City will hold a City Council meeting on Saturday as part of the annual Community Day celebration.
A rundown of Community Day-related events on Saturday and Sunday follows:
City Council Meeting:
City Council will hold a regular meeting at 9 a.m. on Saturday in Council Chambers, located on the third floor of City Hall, 233 JFK Boulevard. The public is welcome to attend.
Community Day:
Mayor Leonard Desiderio will host Sea Isle’s 10th Annual Community Day on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the former public school, 4501 Park Road. Formerly held at the city's Community Lodge, the Community Day event is being moved to the former school this year.
During Community Day, residents and visitors may speak with city officials and representatives from local civic organizations. Residents can also shred personal documents, compliments of First Bank of Sea Isle City.
The mayor will distribute his annual “Do the Right Thing” awards to community volunteers. First Bank will present its 2019 Community Partnership Award and a check for $2,000 to a local service organization. There will also face painters and free giveaways.
