Sea Isle City’s Environmental Commission, Shade Tree Committee and Green Team will host their first annual Green Fair on Saturday, June 8, from noon to 2 p.m. at Excursion Park, JFK Boulevard and the Promenade (Rain Location: inside the former Public School at 4501 Park Road).
The Green Fair is a free, family-friendly event that will feature crafts, games, activities, giveaways and informational exhibits by Sunny Mac Solar, the Cape May County Recycling Department, AmeriCorps Watershed Ambassador, New Jersey Clean Energy, and Green Street Market.
Also during the Green Fair, Sea Isle residents and property owners can register to win a free tree during the Environmental Commission’s Tree Raffle, which will feature four different species of trees that thrive on barrier islands.
There is no fee to enter the tree raffle. Winners are responsible for the maintenance of their new trees, which will be supplied and planted on 20 local properties free of charge, courtesy of the Environmental Commission.
For additional details about the Tree Raffle, please speak with a representative at the Environmental Commission’s table during the Green Fair.
