Paving for the newly rebuilt section of Sea Isle Boulevard has been postponed from Tuesday until Friday, depending on weather conditions, Cape May County announced.
Paving was pushed back due to delays associated with the winter storm on Sunday. The remnants of the snow and ice coupled with cold overnight temperatures over the next four nights do not allow for acceptable paving conditions, the county said in a press release Monday.
The next possible paving window is on Friday morning, when the contractor will attempt to complete the base paving. Once the paving operation begins, it will proceed continuously on Friday through Friday night, and into Saturday morning.
