Our last City Council meeting of the year took place on December 26 in Council Chambers. No ordinances were introduced or had second reading during that meeting. However, there were twenty-one Resolutions on the December 26 Consent Agenda, including:·Resolution 237, which authorized a Shared Services Agreement with the County of Cape May for a grant for Sea Isle’s future Fishing Pier & Kayak Launch at Dealy Field.·Resolution 245, which authorized a Professional Services Contract for Pickleball Lessons, which will be part of the Division of Recreation’s 2019 summer camp and sports clinic line-up.·Resolution 246 through 253, each of which authorized an individual Professional Services Contract, including contracts with Financial Advisors, a Municipal Prosecutor, Engineering Consultants, Risk Management Consultants, Employee Benefit Consultants, a Public Defender, a Hearing Officer and a Conflict Attorney.Our most recent City Council meeting took place on Wednesday, January 2 at 9 a.m. in order to adopt a temporary budget for 2019. Our next regular Council meeting is Tuesday, January 8 at 10 a.m. in Council Chambers. We hope to see you there.Happy New Year!
