The Beach Bards Poetry & Prose Summer Reading Series will continue on Monday, Aug. 19, at 6 p.m. at the Sea Isle City Library, 4800 Central Avenue.
Sponsored by the Cape May County Library system, this free event is open to the public.
The guest artists on Aug. 19 will be Michelle Belluomini, Charles Bondhus and Albert Tacconelli.
Belluomini’s poetry has been published in American Poetry, Philadelphia Poets, Beltway, The Mad Poets Review and Apiary, among other print and online journals.
Her poems have also appeared in various Poetry Ink (Philadelphia) anthologies and the anthology Commonwealth: Contemporary Poets on Pennsylvania.
Bondhus is the author of Divining Bones, Sundress, 2018, and All the Heat We Could Carry, Main Street Rag, 2013, winner of the Thom Gunn Award for Gay Poetry. His work has appeared in Poetry, The Missouri Review, Columbia Journal, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Bellevue Literary Review, Nimrod, and Copper Nickel.
Tacconelli’s latest chapbook of poetry, Alone at the Border, Finishing Line Press, 2018, deals with the tragedy known as the Syrian Civil War and the horrors of displaced families, refugees and innocent victims of war.
He is also the author of the chapbooks, Perhaps Fly, Bordighera Press, 2014, which published his first collection of poetry, and Scratch Marks at the Kitchen Door, 2018.
