City Council's Message

  • News
During the April 9 City Council meeting, Ordinances 1632 and 1633 had second reading and public hearing, after which both were adopted.  Ordinance 1632, which was proposed by Councilman Bill Kehner, was written to prohibit vehicles from driving through flooded streets and creating wakes that can damage garage doors, fences and other private and public property.  Ordinance 1633 was written to allow the City to change certain traffic control signals from their regular red-yellow-green patterns to flashing patterns, which will eliminate unnecessary delays for motorists during the low traffic periods of the off-season.   Each of the three resolutions on the April 9 Consent Agenda was approved, including:  ·       Resolution 061, which authorized the appointment of a substitute Municipal Prosecutor for the remainder of 2019 at no additional fee (Donald R. Charles, Jr., Esq.).
·       Resolution 062, which authorized the establishment of an “Internet Exchange Zone” that will include two curbside parking spaces in front of Sea Isle’s City Hall/Police Department. The parking spaces, which will be under video surveillance, can be used by individuals who need a public place to complete internet sales, parents during child custody exchanges, and people who are conducting legitimate transactions with strangers.  The next City Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 23, at 10:00 a.m. in Council Chambers. We hope to see you there!  Best Regards from the Members of City Council,  Council President Jack Gibson ([email protected] Frank Edwardi ([email protected])   J.B. Feeley ([email protected])   Bill Kehner ([email protected])   Mary Tighe ([email protected])
