Children dressed in spooky Halloween costumes were part of the crowds lining the sidewalks along the parade route last year.
Sea Isle City is looking for some good ghosts, ghouls and goblins to march in the Halloween Parade.
On Friday, Oct. 19, the city’s Division of Recreation will host the parade starting at 7 p.m. along Landis Avenue from 45th Street to JFK Boulevard.
The parade will feature a variety of eye-catching participants and entertainers who will walk, cruise along on floats and delight spectators lining the route.
The city's Recreation Office is currently accepting applications for parade participants. Applications must be submitted by Oct. 16 at 4 p.m.
Individuals and groups are invited to show their Halloween spirit by appearing in the parade in the following categories:
- Walkers (ages 0-12 and 13-adult)
- Families
- Clubs & Organizations
- Floats
- Non-Judging Entries
A panel of judges will determine the parade’s top entries. Prizes will be awarded to the event’s winners.
Immediately following the Halloween Parade, spectators and parade participants are invited to attend the city’s annual Halloween Dance Party at the Excursion Park Band Shell, located at JFK Boulevard and Pleasure Avenue. During the Dance Party, families will enjoy a variety of classic Halloween music.
