The Cape May County Office of Emergency Management is warning of strong northwest winds gusting up to 45 to 50 mph on Wednesday along the coast.
The strongest winds will occur in southern New Jersey, at the Jersey Shore, portions of southeast Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia, Delaware and northeast Maryland, according to the weather advisory.
High winds will develop late Wednesday morning and continue into Wednesday afternoon. They may be strong enough to blow down limbs, trees and power lines. Scattered power outages are expected.
