OCHS Key Club St. Baldrick’s Day Fundraiser Friday May 25th

  • Things To Do
The Ocean City High School Key Club will host its second annual St. Baldrick’s Day event for the benefit of childhood cancer research on Friday May 25 during community lunch in the main gym. Male teachers will be shaving their heads (Dan Weaver and David Uhrich and possibly a surprise female will join them) to raise awareness for the need for research funding and to stand in solidarity with the children who do not have a choice as to whether or not they lose their hair. https://youtu.be/rCVcTxn7sVA There are four opportunities for students and staff members to get involved:
  1. Shave their heads to raise awareness for the need for funding and to stand in solidarity with the children who do not have a choice as to whether or not they lose their hair.
  2. Donate their hair, there must be a minimum of eight inches to donate.  Stylists from local salons will be responsible for cutting and styling their new haircut.
  3. Create/join a fundraising team.
  4. Attend the day of the event and make a donation on site.
We are looking for local businesses to help with fundraising and donations. I’ve included a link and directions where businesses can go to make donations” To donate to a team, please visit https://www.stbaldricks.org/events/ochs2018 Last t year’s highlights included:
