COASTAL STORM APPROACHING:
A powerful coastal storm is forecast to rapidly develop offshore starting tonight through Saturday. Rain will move into our area tonight and continue through Friday night. Strong winds will increase through the day on Friday and continue through Saturday night with gusts up to 65 mph. Please secure any outdoor furniture, trash cans, or other items which may be picked up by the winds. Minor tidal flooding is expected to start with Friday morning's 8.30 a.m. high tide. Minor to moderate tidal flooding is expected with the following high tides through Saturday night. Depending on the tract of the storm, major tidal flooding is a possibility due to the projected strong winds and how severe the storm-driven ocean surge is at the times of high tide. We ask that you move your vehicles from low-lying areas and refrain from driving through flood waters because your wake will push water into businesses and residential properties causing damage.
