.
City Council held a brief meeting at 9:00 a.m. on January 2 to pass the City’s 2018 Temporary Budget.
Then, City Council’s first Regular Meeting of 2018 took place on January 9 at 10:00 a.m., at which time Council commended the City’s Office of Emergency Management, Department of Public Works, Sea Isle City Police Department and Ambulance Corps, who worked very hard to get us through the recent blizzard.
Sea Isle City rarely receives such impact from winter storms, and Council is very grateful for the efforts of our City employees during that extreme weather event.
There were thirteen Resolutions on the January 9 Consent Agenda, including…
- Resolution 003, which authorized the appointment of Erika Collins as Deputy Municipal Clerk of Sea Isle City. With the recent retirement of Municipal Clerk Cindy Griffith, former Deputy Clerk Shannon Romano has stepped-up to become our new Municipal Clerk, and thus Mrs. Collins has become our new Deputy Clerk.
- Resolutions 010 through 013, each of which authorized the City to enter into National Cooperative Contracts that will help save taxpayer money by getting the best prices for a variety of services.
- Resolution 014, which authorized the award of a contract to Center Stage Entertainment for $89,750 for City-sponsored Saturday Nights Concerts at the Band Shell during the summer of 2018.
Our next City Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 23, at 10:00 a.m. in Council Chambers. We hope to see you there!
