90 Year Old resident Dave Barry is in middle, surrounded by loved ones.
Sea Isle City resident Dave Barry (center) recently celebrated his 90
th birthday with over 100 family members and friends.
During that gathering, Mayor Leonard Desiderio honored the nonagenarian for his many years of service to the community before proclaiming October 15, 2017 to be “Dave Barry Day” in Sea Isle City.
A native of West Philadelphia and graduate of Saint Thomas More High School, Mr. Barry was the owner of Donovan and Barry Pest Control in Conshohocken, PA. He and his wife, Theresa, raised their four children in Berwyn, PA, before moving to Sea Isle City full-time in 1991.
For many years, Mr. Barry volunteered at Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May Court House and at Holy Redeemer Food Pantry in Clermont, NJ. He currently volunteers at the Sea Isle City Historical Society & Museum, he is a long-time member of AARP Chapter 710, and he’s is an active member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Sea Isle City, where he is a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus.
