The volunteers of Sea Isle City Cats, Inc. (a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the humane management of cats in the community) will host a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on Sunday, June 18, at 12 noon in their new “Peaceful Garden,” located behind the organization’s Crooked Tail Thrift Shop at 4208 Landis Avenue. All are invited to attend the ceremony and enjoy the abundance of nature that flourishes in the Peaceful Garden.
Once inside the garden, visitors can enjoy an urban oasis and quietly honor animals that have brightened their lives. Designed and planted in 2016, the garden’s numerous wildflowers encourage butterfly and hummingbird proliferation.
In addition to beautiful surroundings, guests attending the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony will also enjoy light refreshments.
The Peaceful Garden was initially funded by the estate of Skip Deacon, a local resident who passed away in 2015. Tax deductible donations to The Crooked Tail Thrift Shop will help maintain the garden – as well as help local animals in need of care.
